Heal Through Jesus
Depression
Let the Lord's LOVE cover you and keep you warm
One of the most challenging yet invisible battles of human kind- depression. Depression is debilitating. It stifles our hope, faith and love. The three most important pillars of Christian spirituality...for what are we without hope faith and love?

If you haven't noticed yourself improving even after a few years of therapy, God has called you here. God is the original counselor, the original healer and the creator of mankind. It is HE who has knit us in our mothers womb and only HE has the power to heal us from our disease. That's why, you haven't healed yet! Youve been going to the wrong psychologist! God wants to bring you closer to him. God wants you to know that he loves you very much, Jesus DIED on the cross so that you might live abundantly, don't give up! Try GOD!
1. The first step to recovering from depression is "surrendering".
Find a quiet place, and in solitude sit down and pray to God. "Abba Father, I am struggling, I don't know how to fight this battle, please do it for me...I trust you"
hint: make your prayers heartfelt... a halfhearted prayer full of doubt and lack of confidence will not get you the response you desire. God requires us to be bold and to make the BOLD move and TRUST HIM surrendering our battle and our heart.
The second step: If you have been turning to worldly crutches to help your depression, be compassionate with yourself yet courageous and STOP. Every time you feel the need to eat, to self harm, to overwork, to use drugs, be strong and hold back. Instead cry out to God in prayer. Ask him to help you fight your battle. Allow yourself to feel your raw emotions without judgment. Don't be afraid of intimacy.
With constant prayer to Abba through Jesus Christ, your depression WILL terminate. It just has to -because that is the Will of God and you are his beloved child.
You will not find a manual on how to overcome depression, the best place to learn is the Bible. God will do it for you, in constant prayer and practice, he will guide you. Your tears will destroy strongholds. God will talk to you (maybe not through physical words) but through his Holy Spirit urging you to do different tasks and reading different verses from the Bible.
There is a reason why Jesus was a carpenter by profession. He creates something beautiful from something ordinary or broken. God is closer to the brokenhearted, use your depression as an opportunity to encounter your father and pray for him to heal you with his miraculous power which is POWERFULLY alive and working.
